About Absent Observer

As we grow used to everyday life, moments when the world feels new drift further away.
Familiar scenery, even our own presence here, begins to seem ordinary.

Yet a slight shift in perspective can reveal a new mystery in the world we thought we knew.
Everyday assumptions and unanswered questions alike can change the way we see.

Absent Observer creates works from these thought experiments.
We want to share the pleasure of thinking itself, and a moment to wonder at the world again.
We hope a little surprise lingers in familiar scenery after you encounter a work.
